RUGBY FOR ALL CHILDREN
2018
DHL Romania has partnered with Banca Comerciala Romana with the aim of enabling talented individuals to carry on the Gura Humorului great rugby tradition forward, while developing their own skills at the highest degree. The two main actors involved will offer 20 sport scholarships to candidates that prove excellent abilities and potential for rugby. Applications are open to all members of the junior rugby teams of CSS Gura Humorului who meet the criteria.
The scholarship programme finances 100 % of the high school boarding and meals cost for a year commencing in September 2018 for a period of three years, renewable annually. At the same time, they will receive outstanding support and all the benefits of belonging to a friendly and supportive community. The social aspect of the project aims to offer children from disadvantaged backgrounds an equal chance to learn, grow and thrive.
The following parameters will be monitored throughout the entire project, through a Guiding and Mentoring Programme run by DHL Romania:
- • Rugby performance/feedback
- • School attendance
- • Quarterly school performance
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Eligible applicants can express their interest by downloading the application form and hand it in, alongside supporting documentation either at the headquarters of CSS Gura Humorului or Te Aud Romania.

- • Proof of family income issued by the domicile Council
- • Sport performance evaluation
- • Proof of school performance/ 2016/2017 school year grades

- • 8-10 September 2018: INTERVIEWS
- • 10 Septembrie 2018: OFFICIAL LAUNCH AND WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT
The application assessment will be analysed by a jury formed of: Mr. Daniel Kearvell – Managing Director DHL Romania; Mr. Sergiu Cristian Manea – CEO Banca Comerciala Romana and Mr. Andrei Varvaroi – Director of Clubul Sportiv Scolar Gura Humorului.
